What is hosted phone service or hosted PBX? It's like a phone system in the cloud with one major difference. You pay a per user cost every month and the phone service cost is included in that amount. There is no additional charge for phone service. The cost per user (seat) varies, but usually lands somewhere between $20 and $25 per month when it's all said and done. Hosted service is a great option in situations where the relationship between the number of users and the number of concurrent calls you need to be able to handle is close. For example, if you have 6 users and need to be able to take 5 calls at once, hosted service would be a good option. However, if you have 100 users, but you only need to handle 4 calls at once, hosted service would be a very expensive option for you.
