The KX-NS Series consists of 2 products - the KX-NS700 and the KX-NS1000. The KX-NS1000 is a server-based Private Branch eXchange (PBX) that supports Panasonic Proprietary Network Telephones, Panasonic SIP Telephones and 3rd Party SIP Telephones. Trunking to the Outside World (the Central Office), is through SIP Trunks, ISDN-PRI, or T1 with a limited amount of Analog POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service), for the purpose of Emergency Backup - in the event of an Internet failure. The KX-NS700 is all that PLUS it can accept a larger number of Analog POTS Lines, an extensive line of Panasonic Digital Telephones and up to 3 Expansion Cabinets.
